ADVERTISING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
TownOffers.info (hereafter shortened to TO) is wholly focused on providing an ethical digital advertising and flash marketing platform that is safe for all user communities and advertisers, irrespective of age, gender, nationality, religion, political persuasion or viewpoint.
The TO System is totally committed to comply with the UK Advertising Standards Authority https://www.asa.org.uk/codes-and-rulings.html, all UK national laws plus local council byelaws, trading standards and any legally binding published consumer facing policies.
English is our official language, and no other language is allowed in adverts unless prior agreement is made.
Any material observed by TownOffers (hereafter called TO) or brought to our attention will be removed immediately.
UNACCEPTABLE USES
The TO platform shall not be used for
- Publishing political, fake news, or propaganda of any sort
- Bullying or coercive behaviour towards an individual or group
- Racial or hate group discrimination
- Encouraging cruelty to animals, birds or pets
- Encouraging self-harm, murder, extortion or blackmail
- The sale or trade of endangered species
- The distribution of spam, chain letters or any other bulk electronic communications
- The malicious distribution of viruses or any other computer malware
PROHIBITED CONTENT
Images and Text
It is strictly forbidden to upload any material, whether text, designs, images or photographs, which is inappropriate to the general public and likely to cause offence. This caveat includes distressing and graphic accident, public disorder, or crime scene images.
Unacceptable text includes false, misleading or inaccurate claims, or profane, defamatory and libellous words and phrases.
Dangerous products or services
TO wants to help keep consumers safe both online and offline, so the promotion of harmful or injurious products is forbidden. Examples of dangerous (non-exhaustive) include instructions for making bombs / explosives: certain tobacco and vaping products: Recreational drugs (chemical or herbal); psychoactive substances; certain uncertified fireworks.
Encouraging and enabling dishonest behaviour
We value honesty and fairness, so TO does not allow the promotion of products or services that are designed to encourage or enable dishonest behaviour. Examples of products or services that enable dishonest behaviour (non-exhaustive) include services designed to artificially inflate ad or website traffic; hacking software or instructions; fake documents; academic cheating services.
Misrepresentation
TO wants all offers and ads to be relevant, useful, varied, and safe for users. Any attempt to trick or deceive consumers is forbidden. Examples of misrepresentation (non-exhaustive) include omitting or obscuring charges associated with financial services such as interest rates, fees, and penalties; making offers that aren't actually available; making misleading or unrealistic claims regarding weight loss or financial gain; collecting donations under false pretences; 'phishing' or falsely purporting to be a reputable company in order to get users to part with valuable personal or financial information
Counterfeit goods
Advertising or promoting the sale or promotion for sale of counterfeit goods is unlawful. Counterfeit goods contain a trademark or logo that is identical to or substantially indistinguishable from the trademark of another. They mimic the brand features of the product in an attempt to pass themselves off as a genuine product of the brand owner.
Ad protections for children and teens
Complementing the advertising guidelines above, TO will positively discriminate against ads and offers specifically directed at children with regards to gambling, alcohol, and high fat, sugar and salt food and beverages.
Copyright Laws and Trademarks
TO complies with all national and local copyright laws to fully protect the rights of copyright holders. Ads that are not legally unauthorised to use copyrighted content are not permitted. Similarly, if you use a trademark, it must be your own or you have specific permission to use that of another brand.
Gambling and games
TO allows responsible gambling advertising that adheres to national gambling laws and industry standards and protocols. Any offers must display information about responsible gambling and never target minors.
Healthcare and medicines
Any offers or ads on the TO platform must follow appropriate healthcare laws and industry standards and protocols.
Financial products and services
All ads and offers must provide sufficient relevant information to allow the consumer to make rigorous informed financial decisions.
UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR
Business clients and system users cannot
- Copy any content from our site without the author’s consent
- Attempt to gather or otherwise collect information about users, including email addresses, without their consent
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise tamper with the TO software
- Infringe any TownOffers trademarks, copyright or Intellectual Property (IP)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
If you use the TO System, you are liable for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
All required procedures should be taken to ensure that your password is kept confidential and secure and should inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that your password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be used in an unauthorised manner.
You are responsible for ensuring that the details you provide us with are correct and complete, and for informing us of any changes to the information you have provided.
PAYMENTS AND PRICE CHANGES
Any system price changes to all clients will be communicated with at a minimum of a calendar month’s notice.
Our prices are calculated on normal, average industry usage. Certain TO subdomains may be subject to a surcharge where they have been analysed to show massive usage, way beyond what would be considered fair and reasonable.
When two consecutive monthly payment are missed, the TO company will assume that the business owner no longer wishes to use the platform and will disconnected.
